Academics
At Elizabeth Forward, our four elementary schools provide a standards-aligned curriculum that ensures consistency, rigor, and meaningful learning experiences for all students. Our reading instruction is firmly rooted in the Science of Reading, offering explicit, systematic instruction that helps every child build strong foundational literacy skills. Hands-on learning is at the heart of our mission. Through STEM experiences, inquiry-based science, and project-based learning, students develop curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills that prepare them for future success. In mathematics, we use a program grounded in problem-based learning and visual learning to help students build a deep, conceptual understanding of mathematical ideas. We are equally committed to nurturing the whole child. A rich offering of arts, physical education, music, and chorus provides students with opportunities to express themselves, build confidence, and discover their passions. Together, these experiences create a vibrant, supportive learning environment where every child can grow as a capable, confident learner prepared for the future.
